Our educators across the country came together on February 16, 2026, for one of the most meaningful days of the year: Winter Teacher In-Service Day. It’s a day made possible because of our incredible families. Thank you for making alternative child care plans for the day so your child’s teachers could recharge, learn, and prepare for what's ahead.
This day is dedicated to professional growth, connection, and collaboration. We could not do it without you! We appreciate your continued partnership as we support our school teams. Investing in our early educators and their careers is part of what makes our community so impactful.
Teacher In-Service Day is designed to elevate the learning experience by equipping every educator with the wisdom, confidence, and tools needed to lead the children in our care. This experience is designed to strengthen the joyful, curiosity-driven teaching approach that takes center stage in our classrooms. We love to learn! And our goal is to instill that same sense of wonder and imagination in our students.
Our February 2026 agenda centered around these key learnings:
Another memorable part of the day was recognizing our Master Teachers. These are educators who have completed advanced professional development to earn a Learning Care Master Teacher certification to elevate their teaching excellence, peer coaching, and expertise in the field. Master Teachers provide additional support and mentorship to fellow teachers in our school communities.
We were thrilled to recognize 98 Master Teacher graduates in 2025 alone! Looking ahead to 2026, 198 new Master Teachers trainees began the first level of the program in mid-February, ready to earn the same distinction. Together, every single one of our teachers has the training and resources they need to ensure your child has a meaningful early learning experience.
Twice a year, so many Learning Care partners collaborate with us to bring Teacher In-Service Day to life. This event truly takes a village:
We are so grateful for the opportunity to invest in our teachers, classrooms, and schools.
Over the coming months, you’ll see these insights and practices come to life in your child’s school to enhance classroom experiences, strengthen engagement, and deepen the promise we deliver to your family every day.
