Welcome to Our School
Welcome to La Petite Academy in Westerville, OH. My name is Cori and I am the academy director. We offer Infant care beginning at six weeks of age, as well as a full or part-time Preschool program focusing on Kindergarten readiness and a School-Age program for before- and after-school care and full time care during school breaks for children up to 12 years of age.
We are a nationally accredited center through NAEYC as well as a 1 star rated Step Up to Quality center through the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. Our committed team of educators fosters children's growth, development and a lifelong love of learning!
We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.
We closely follow recommendations from state and local authorities, to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment.

21st Century Learning Experiences
In our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms your child will discover opportunities to be creative, engage their mind and body, collaborate with friends, and learn new things. I am passionate about creating a family environment where children feel comfortable to learn and grow. I take pride in building a team atmosphere where the teachers and parents work together for the benefit of the children. My greatest accomplishment is raising my three children alongside my husband.

Carina Salom, School Education Manager
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Administrative Studies, Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education

I am originally from New York state and I recently moved here from Stamford, Connecticut. After having been a teacher for eight years I wanted to take the next steps in my career to work with teachers and support them in the classroom. I have a passion for early childhood education and am super excited to be the School Education Manager to help the teachers to continue to grow and learn.

I have over 10 years of child care experience as a teacher, director and owner. I am currently working on my master's degree in organizational leadership. I am a fanatic of the fall season and I love spending my Sundays watching football with friends and family.

Christine Burroughs, Team Lead
Education: Certified Master Teacher and CDA
Certifications: First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease Management and Child Abuse Recognition
After working with children in many different environments, I realized that teaching children was my true passion. My position as Team Lead and Safety Captain allows me to engage with the children and teachers in a safe atmosphere. I relocated from Chicago in 2013 with my husband and furbaby.
