Welcome to La Petite Academy educational childcare in Waldorf, Maryland! My name is Nichole Eville and I am the Academy Director. I have a bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies, School of Social Work. . I have been working in the childcare field since 2002. I have been with LCG for over 5 years and worked in many different capacities within the company.
Our school encompasses Infant Care, Preschool, Pre-K, Junior K and School-Age programs.
We take safety and security very seriously. Our front door is code-accessible only; authorized persons must sign in and out daily each child. We are also closely following CDC guidelines as we take extreme care to maintain our safe, healthy school environment. Health codes that we are following: All adults require face coverings. Parents are not permitted to enter the building to lessen exposure. All staff and children are having daily temperature screenings when they arrive and we have strengthened our cleanliness and hygiene practices.
Many of our teachers have worked at La Petite Academy for 5 years or more and there are some who have been with the center for over 20 years. Our teachers receive ongoing monthly training, all of them are First Aid, and CPR certified.
We value the relationships we have with our families and work hard to maintain good report with them, we use the brightwheel app to connect with families throughout the day and coming soon our WatchMeGrow live-streaming cameras will be going live for our families. This will give the parents access to securely log on through their smart device and watch their child throughout the day having fun and learning.
Now more than ever we are working to make sure your child's learning stays on track. Our School-Age children will have support with their distance learning requirements this upcoming school year through our innovative Prep Lab program. They will take part in weekly STEM projects and the teachers will provide character-developing activities from our My Best Self curriculum while supporting distance learning.
We would love to show you what we have to offer!
