Welcome to La Petite Academy, located in Tampa, FL! We are a NECPA accredited Preschool school serving the Carrollwood and Northdale areas. We provide child care and education for children ages six weeks though 12 years.

We host the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program (VPK) We have an outstanding staff dedicated to our children and families, with an abundance of teaching experience.

My name is Jessica DeMott, and I am your director here at The Mapledale La Petite. I have a passion for providing children with developmentally appropriate activities in a safe and nurturing environment. I can't wait for the opportunity to meet you and help promote a lifelong love of learning.

I have been working with children since 2011, and have found that one of my favorite parts of working with children is that "light bulb moment", when what you have been trying to teach them finally clicks. There is no better feeling then knowing that I was a part of helping that child reach that moment, and watching them grow from that experience. I look forward to meeting you and your family.

I have been working in the early childhood field of education for approximately five years. I have worked in center-based care as well as owning and operating my own in-home licensed preschool. I have professionally cared for children ages infant through school age. I received my associates degree in Elementary and Special Education from Indian River State College. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
