Welcome to Our School
Welcome to our La Petite Academy daycare and academy in San Ramon, CA. My name is Maricar and I am the Academy Director. La Petite is located near the Bishop Ranch area. La Petite has been providing care for children ranging from six weeks to 12 years of age for more than 20 years.
At La Petite Academy, we offer Infant Child Care, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and School Age programs that provide the perfect foundation for learning and child development.
Health and safety are essential at our school and your child's well-being is always our top priority. We’ve enhanced our health and safety to include: following CDC guidance, as well as state and local officials and health authorities; requiring face coverings for staff and any adult entering the building; temperature checks all staff members, parents, and children upon arrival at school; and regular wellness checks throughout the day. We’ve also added extra cleanliness and hygiene practices (including more frequent, longer hand washing; cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and items in classrooms).
This fall The Prep Lab will support school-age students and families as they face any challenges and changes in their schools this upcoming school year.

I have a passion for children's education and encouraging their love of learning. In my role as a director, I take pride in creating a nurturing, family atmosphere. Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and three children.

Education: Master's Degree in English Literature, Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education
Certifications: CPR/First Aid
I have always had a passion for working with children. My overall goal as senior associate director is to instill a lifelong love of learning into the children at our school. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my husband, two daughters, and dog.
