Welcome to Our School

Our Round Lake Beach daycare and preschool, La Petite Academy of Round Lake Beach, welcomed its first families in August 1999. We are close to First Steps Nursery School and Fox Chase Park. We are happy to be accredited by NAEYC. Credentials on our team include a Director Credential 1 and CPR and First Aid certifications.

Our classrooms welcome Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, Pre-K, Junior Kindergarten, and Before and After School Care, serving ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We work with third-party tuition assistance, and we will explain it on your tour. Learn from the Start® brings babies sensory play, and Learn as We Grow® for Toddlers through Pre-K builds on Compare and Contrast, like two-year-olds watching plants grow.

Spotlight on Kindergarten builds kindergarten readiness through essential skills. Multi-Sports lets children explore team sports with friends. Find all enrichments on this page. My career at La Petite Academy began in 2005 as the School-Age teacher. Over the years, I have had the privilege of stepping into each of the management roles. In 2016, I became the center director and now am truly honored to impact not only the lives of the families and children that we serve, but the amazing teachers that make a difference every single day! I strive to cultivate a positive, family atmosphere where we foster a sense of community and a love for learning.

Learn from the Start™, our exclusive milestone-based curriculum, guides every experience, from sensory play to early language and motor skill building. The classroom is designed with everything teachers need at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space.
