Welcome to First Flight Child Development Center at La Petite Academy!

Our program offers full time care for your Infants, Toddlers, Preschool and Pre Kindergarten students. At La Petite Academy, our students participate in a wide variety of elective enriched programs and Summer Camp for students age three years through Kindergarten.

Our curriculum follows a STEM approach, where science, technology, engineering, and math are part of everything we do in the classroom.

We’re committed to keeping you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care with Sprout About. Sprout About is a parent/teacher application that allows parents and teachers to communicate with real-time updates.

Gabby Romero, Director

Education: Child Development major

My name is Gabby Romero, I am the academy director at First Flight by La Petite. I have a son who will be 17 this year. He is the reason why I chose to work in child care. After he turned a year, I wanted to return to school to finish my education, but feared leaving him in child care. So, I then vowed I would work in child care to make sure I helped future parents, feel comfortable going back to work, knowing their little one was in good hands. I sincerely love what I do!

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Urban Learning

Certifications: First Aid and CPR certified

My name is Nancy Medina. I enjoy learning with children as they reach their different milestones. Children are amazing and they grow differently, I love being a part of their growth. As a Child Development educator for 25 years, I fell in love with the idea of seeing children grow. Throughout my career I wanted to stay in the field, be involved in their development, and now as an Assistant Director I can expand my journey with the families!
