Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy of Leesburg, VA! My name is Susannah Mengel and I am the school's director. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our educational daycare and all of the great programs we have to offer!

At our school, we serve children of all ages through our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and School-Age programs. Our daycare programs are designed to provide the perfect foundation for learning and development for your child. Here, your child will be engaged in educational activities that take place in a secure, caring and enriching environment. We are especially proud of our large outdoor spaces and multipurpose room, which allow for physical development regardless of the weather.

Susannah Mengel, Director

Education: Masters in Applied Developmental Psychology

Certifications: First Aid & CPR, MAT, Daily Health Observation, Food Handler

Mrs. Susannah has been working in Early Childhood Education in Loudoun County for over ten years, both in the classroom and as an administrator. Mrs. Susannah grew up in the area and currently lives in Ashburn with her husband and two children, who attend one of Learning Care Group's sister schools. As a mom, she knows the importance of finding a clean, safe, and engaging school for children to learn, play, and grow! She looks forward to being a part of your child's childcare experience!

Wendy Bourloukas, Assistant Director

Education: CDA, Director Certificate

Certifications: CPR and First Aid, MAT, Food Handler, Daily Health Observation

Ms. Wendy has been in Early Childhood Education for over 20 years. She started as a Sunday school teacher, fell in love with teaching children and built upon her career from there. Wendy is originally from California and moved to Leesburg 20 years ago, where she raised her two daughters. She is a wealth of knowledge on the best pediatricians and dentists in Leesburg, as well as upcoming local events. She is looking forward to showing you our warm and playful environment!
