Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Lakeland, FL! My name is Melissa and I am the director of this wonderful school. I have 27 years of experience in early education-first as a teacher, then a manager. I have my degree in early education, as well as my Director Credential. I have been with La Petite Academy since 2006 and have over eleven years as a director with the company.

The care and education of young children has always been my passion. I run my school like an extended family. I want us to have a relationship full of communication! We offer care from six weeks to 12 years old-including VPK, Before-and-After school, and we accept ELC. We provide a healthy breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack, as well as all of your child's diapers and wipes!

We want your child to love learning and want to be your partner in a lasting educational journey.

Our school, established in 1978, is nationally accredited through NECPA and has been recognized as a Florida Gold Seal Quality Care program provider.

From the tour I knew Ms Joy had a true heart for children. That was evident in the first ten minutes of our conversation. To be honest her candor and honesty were refreshing. When we walked through the center, I was shocked at how big it was as from the parking lot it definitely is misleading. I was shown the entire building, I even asked to see the kitchen. Give Your Child a Great Start With VPK

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free daily, 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care.
