Welcome to Our School
Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Lakeland, FL! My name is Melissa and I am the director of this wonderful school. I have 27 years of experience in early education-first as a teacher, then a manager. I have my degree in early education, as well as my Director Credential. I have been with La Petite Academy since 2006 and have over eleven years as a director with the company.
The care and education of young children has always been my passion. I run my school like an extended family. I want us to have a relationship full of communication! We offer care from six weeks to 12 years old-including VPK, Before-and-After school, and we accept ELC. We provide a healthy breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack, as well as all of your child's diapers and wipes!

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free daily, 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care. I have been in the early childhood education field for over 25 years, and since 2006 has been with La Petite Academy. I want us to be part of your extended family! Let's get to know each other, and work together to encourage a love of learning, and a sense of community in our children. My goal for this school is to be the best educator and form a lasting relationship with each family!
