Q: How does La Petite Academy support my childs learning and development as they transition to the next age group?

Our Learn as We Grow curriculum follows six core concepts throughout the year. Children explore these same concepts from Toddlers through Pre-K, but how they experience them changes as they grow. Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy on East 10th Street! Our school serves families across the Eastside community, providing daycare, preschool, and early education experiences for children from infancy through school age.

Our school offers Infant, Toddler, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, Private Kindergarten, and Before- and After-School Club programs, along with engaging summer camp experiences, in a safe, secure, and healthy learning environment. Our exclusive Learn as We Grow® curriculum uses hands-on, play-based, and inquiry-driven experiences to encourage children to explore, imagine, and ask questions.

These experiences help children build independence, strengthen communication and social skills, and develop foundational abilities that support kindergarten readiness.

Families at our E. 10th Street school also enjoy the convenience of an all-inclusive daycare experience, including meals, snacks, diapers, and wipes, as well as on-site enrichment activities. Flexible, part-time care options are also available for families who need additional scheduling flexibility. Our facility is always secure with a locked front door. Families can enter the facility using their personal identification number. More than 50 percent of our teachers have a degree or Child Development Associate certification, and many of them are long-term employees. Between management and staff, there is a combined 72 years of experience. We are NECPA-accredited and are at the highest level of Paths to Quality.

We are excited to offer new technology in our School-Age classrooms. These enhancements include iPads featuring apps to create art, music and videos, tripods for moviemaking, robots for coding, a new gaming system, and a secure Wi-Fi network for homework.

We value close partnerships with parents and work to create a welcoming school community where children receive individual attention and encouragement. Through SproutAbout®, our exclusive mobile app for families, parents can receive real-time updates from their child's classroom.

Safety and comfort come first in our Infants Program, where Primary Caregivers offer your little one personalized attention. Learn from the Start™, our exclusive milestone-based curriculum, guides every experience, from sensory play to early language and motor skill building. The classroom is designed with everything teachers need at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space.
