Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy in Frederick, MD!

Drawing from my background, I can confidently say La Petite Academy offers the best Infant daycare and private Preschool programs in Frederick. Most of our teachers have been with our school for over 15 years! Ongoing staff training is conducted to keep our teachers on top of the early education field. We also provide diapers, wipes and homemade meals!

We have new technology in our Preschool, Pre-K and School-Age classes! Preschool and Pre-K children have iPads with educational apps and games. Plus, our Preschool class has an Inspire Plus interactive table and our Pre-K class features a STEM Lab with hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. For School-Agers, we have tripods for moviemaking, robots for coding, a new gaming system, and more!

We plan monthly events and I work hard to ensure that families meet each other and develop strong relationships. Community outreach is very important here and I have created a few programs to help create a stronger community. We are also nationally accredited and the standards we follow are higher than those required by the state.

Lexi Holzberger, Director

Education: A.A. in Early Childhood Education

Certifications: 90 Hour Preschool, Infant and Toddler, Group Leader, Administrative, First Aid and CPR

With over 18 years of experience in early childhood education, Lexi is a passionate and dedicated Childcare Director committed to creating a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment for children to learn and grow. She brings a strong background in curriculum development, staff leadership, and family engagement. Holding a degree in Early Childhood Education, Lexi has led diverse teams of educators and believes that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment.

Mariah Murray, Assistant Director

Education: A.A. Early Childhood Education

Certifications: Infant & Toddler, 90 hour Preschool, School Age, 45 Hour Administrative, CPR and First Aid, Emergency Preparedness

I have been working in Childcare for 20 years now. I started at the YMCA then in Highschool I taught preschoolers as part of the Child Development Program. Once certified, I got a job as an aide in a local childcare center. I spent some time as a Nanny for a family while I obtained my Degree in education, then worked for the state of Maryland in a Family Support Center. I then returned to childcare where I spent time teaching all age groups and worked my way to AD then Center Director
