Welcome to our wonderful La Petite Academy in Bloomington, IL! We offer premium child care services for children ages six weeks to 12 years through our infant care, preschool and school-age programs. We are staffed by dedicated teachers who possess the skills and passion to help children reach their fullest potential.
This La Petite Academy was established in 1995 and provides Bloomington-Normal and the surrounding area with first-rate early childhood education.

Our first priority is creating a secure environment where infants both are safe and feel safe. In our Infants classroom, we provide toys and materials that allow for freedom of movement within safe boundaries, so children can explore, develop motor skills, and engage their natural curiosity. In this classroom, your child will make discoveries and think independently, as we prepare them for the future. The authentic Montessori curriculum enables children to learn in their own way, at their own pace, through the practical application of sensory-based and self-directed activities. Our certified Montessori teacher spends significant time with each child, helping them discover unique talents and interests. Plus, a full complement of Montessori equipment offers tangible, hands-on learning opportunities to develop children’s skills and senses.
This mixed-aged classroom (for 3- to 6-year-olds) also helps children to develop social skills and challenges them to learn to work together—while being mindful of the best interests of others.

I have a passion for children's education and love being a part of a child's growth and development at every age level. In my role as director, I take pride in building a strong sense of community both inside and outside the school while partnering with parents and teachers to ensure lifelong learning.
Education: A.A. (General Studies); Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Small Business Management (in Progress)

I've always had a passion for working with children. During my time at La Petite, I have worked with all age groups, from infants to school age. My experiences made me realize that I wanted to work closely with staff, parents, and children in order to ensure a love of lifelong learning!

I have worked at La Petite Academy since 2013! I am passionate about the success of all children, but I specifically work with our school-age children. My children are also enrolled at La Petite and love it here just like me!
