Welcome to Our School
Welcome to our La Petite Academy educational Academy in Albuquerque, NM. My name is Theresa and I am the director of this 5-Star, NAEYC-Accredited Academy which offers care for infants, Preschool, School-Age programs and the NM Pre-K program. I have more than 18 years of experience in early childhood education and hold an associate's degree in office administration.
I am confident that we offer the best programs in the area because of our wonderful staff with tenures of over 20 years! My teachers stay current on the latest in early childhood development, health and safety by attending monthly training sessions and holding current First Aid and CPR cards.
In addition to our high standards of education and care, we provide a secure building with a front door featuring a key pad entry system; a manager is always onsite and we check photo IDs of persons picking children up.
We offer transportation to three public elementary schools: Dennis Chavez, EG Ross and North Star.

I have a passion for working with children and have been working in this field for over 18 years. I take pride in partnering with our families and teachers to ensure lifelong learning. I love spending time with my family and I also love spending time outdoors.

I grew up in Southern California where I ran a home daycare. During this time, I also coached girls soccer, softball and cheerleading. When my children were older, we moved to New Mexico and I started working for La Petite Academy. I started as a teacher and became the assistant director a year ago.
