Welcome to Our School
Welcome to La Petite Academy in Bernalillo, NM, serving families in Bernalillo, Placitas, Rio Rancho and Algadones. My name is Esther and I am the academy director. I have my Child Development Associate credential and my National Administrative credential. I also have 32 years of experience as a teacher and manager.
We offer Infant Care, Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs, as well as Before- and After-school care for school-age children. We are nationally accredited by the National Early Childhood Programs Accreditation and have been awarded a Star V level rating with New Mexico State Licensing for Daycare Standards.
Our staff is dedicated to our children and families - together they have 42 years of experience. Our learning center creates a family-oriented environment by hosting family events and maintaining an open-door policy.
Our school is also equipped with a secured entry system to protect the children in our care. We are able to maintain safety while still allowing parents and guardians open access to the school during business hours.

My passion for children began in high school when I participated in a student program where we cared for children with a local church group. I have 34 years of experience in the early childhood field and I am currently pursuing a degree in early childhood multicultural education.

I have 15 years of experience working with children. It is my passion to provide safe, quality care for children. I enjoy watching children grow and utilize their skills taught through our programs.
