Toddler Care and Education

Energy and excitement are a natural part of growth and learning. In our toddler classes, we channel that energy into positive learning experiences, with room to move and explore. We go beyond daycare to provide nurturing guidance as they develop skills and master milestones.

Toddler Classroom

As children become more mobile, this classroom offers exciting opportunities for exploration and discovery, through a variety of learning experiences.

Movement Center

Using muscle and bodies to stretch, climb, jump, crawl and walk; develop fine and gross motor skills, balance, and coordination.

Blocks & Manipulatives Center

Early science concepts (such as movement and balance) are explored through blocks, puzzles, and building materials.

Art & Sensory Center

Sensory exploration (with different materials and textures) and creative expression (painting, drawing, etc.).

Pretend Center

Engaging in make-believe play helps children develop critical-thinking skills, body awareness, and an ability to make sense of the world.

Language Center

Reading books, telling and acting out stories, and conversing with trusted adults to develop language skills.

"My Space"

A safe, quiet place in the classroom for children to relax by themselves and spend some quality alone time, as needed.

Toddlers Learning Domains

Our curriculum is designed to address the evolving developmental needs of this increasingly mobile age group. In toddler classes, learning growth is measured by 100s of individual indicators, or skills, and we follow their progress across these nine areas of development:

Toddlers Program FAQs

Our Toddler program is for children between the ages of 1 and 2.

Enrollment is offered year-round based on each family’s needs and classroom availability.

Each day, your child should arrive with these items: - At least one complete outfit change (including socks) - Enough prepared and labeled formula or breast milk (if applicable) - Jar food and infant cereal (if applicable) - Layers to accommodate indoor/outdoor temperature changes All items must be labeled with the child’s first and last names. Used belongings must be taken home nightly and laundered or sanitized.

Toddlers spend the morning exploring the classroom through intentionally planned learning experiences. A morning outdoor time promotes physical activity and fosters a love of the outdoors. A midday healthy lunch is served followed by rest time for children to relax and recharge. The afternoon begins with a healthy snack, and then children engage in small group play and learning in the indoor and outdoor learning environments.
