Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Waukesha, WI! We are proud to serve families in the Brookfield and Waukesha community, creating a nurturing environment where children feel supported, confident, and excited to learn each day.

At La Petite Academy, we offer programs for Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Early Preschool, and Preschool. Our research-based curriculum is designed to support each child’s developmental milestones through engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.

Really good! I loved the last director Sarah and Monica has been so great in her roll. My husband, who does most of the drop off/pick up says that she is always very informative, willing to ask questions, and is great with the children when she spends time in the classroom.

The staff has been great with my one year old. It only took about a week for her to feel comfortable. They make her feel very welcome in the morning, which helps with separation anxiety.

Tondzra Hill, Director

Education: Early Childhood Education

Certifications: Tier 3 Registry Trainer, Director Credential, Child Development Associate, Infant and Toddler, Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS, CPR

Tondzra Hill is a dedicated early childhood professional with over 30 years of experience in the field. She successfully owned and operated her childcare center for 15 years, demonstrating a lifelong passion for nurturing and educating young children. A proud mother of three and married for 29 years, Tondzra brings both professional expertise and heartfelt commitment to everything she does.

Mary Janke , Assistant Director

Education: Associates Degree-Early Childhood Education

Certifications: Infant and Toddler, Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS, CPR, First Aide, AED

I have had the pleasure of working at La Petite since July of 2023! I have 17 years of experience working with children. I started as floater then assistant teacher, lead teacher, then worked my self up into management. I received my associate's degree in May of 2020. I am currently enrolled at WCTC for my credential for Admin. I am a mother of two children and happily married. I look forward to being your Assistant Director.
