Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy in North Las Vegas, NV! Our school provides high-quality Infant Care, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten programs designed to support your child’s growth, development, and love of learning.

We proudly serve families in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Centennial, and the Nellis and Creech Air Force Base communities. Because of our close proximity to the bases, we are honored to support many military families in our school community. We also participate in Child Care Aware, the MYCCN Navy program, and Veterans Affairs subsidy programs to help make child care more accessible.

Our dedicated team brings 168 years of combined experience in early childhood education. Staff members complete a minimum of 30 training hours each year, along with monthly training sessions at our school. Every teacher is CPR and First Aid certified and trained in SIDS prevention, Shaken Baby awareness, signs and symptoms of illness, abuse and neglect prevention, food and medicine allergies, emergency preparedness and response, and positive guidance techniques.

Our classrooms follow a comprehensive curriculum tailored to each age group, helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically. We also offer a Kindergarten Readiness Program for our Pre-K students to help prepare them for their next educational milestone.

We’re committed to keeping families connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. Through our exclusive family app, SproutAbout, you can access live streaming video of your child’s classroom and receive real-time updates about their day.

I’ve been working with children my entire adult life, and it is both my passion and privilege to help children learn and grow from a young age. Alongside our talented teachers, our goal is to create an environment where children thrive and develop a lifelong passion for learning. We can’t wait to welcome you to our La Petite family!

I’ve been working with children from a young age and truly love watching them learn, grow, and reach important milestones. I began my journey as Ms. Janice’s co-lead in the infant room and later became the Lead Teacher in the Pre-Toddler classroom. I also enjoy supporting classrooms throughout the school whenever needed. I can’t wait to welcome you to our La Petite family!

Each day at La Petite Academy is filled with opportunities for your child to learn, play, explore, and grow. Children explore learning centers, participate in small- and large-group activities, spend time outdoors, and enjoy plenty of opportunities for choice and play. Meals, snacks, and rest are also built into the day, creating a familiar routine that helps children feel comfortable while keeping each day fun and engaging. Daily activities are designed with your child’s age and developmental stage in mind.

Our teachers regularly observe your child’s development and use those insights to plan learning experiences that support their individual needs and growth. Each child has an individual portfolio that grows with them as they move from one age group to the next, capturing their learning, milestones, and accomplishments along the way. Teachers use developmental checklists, work samples, photos, and observations to understand how your child is progressing and identify opportunities to build new skills. Families stay connected every step of the way through SproutAbout updates, family-teacher conferences, and daily conversations with their child’s teachers.

Moving to a new classroom is an exciting milestone. Children gradually visit their new classroom, meet their teachers, and become familiar with new routines before the transition. Teachers work together to support continuity, while families receive regular updates throughout the process.
