Welcome to Our School

Thank you for visiting La Petite Academy educational daycare in Huntersville, NC! Our school offers Infant and Toddler care, Preschool, Pre-K, Junior Kindergarten and After-School Care. La Petite currently holds a 4-star license issued by the state of North Carolina and is nationally accredited. We service several elementary schools in the area, such as Huntersville, Torrence Creek, Blythe, JV Washam, Grand Oak and Barnette Elementary.

Shonda Fullwood, Director

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education

Certifications: First Aid/CPR Early Childhood Administration

I started my career as an elementary school teacher and branched out to Early Childhood management. I enjoy mentoring teachers and spending quality time with children. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Certifications: First Aid/CPR certified SIDS certified NC Early Childcare Credentials

I enjoy working with all the children. I spend time with each child, to get to know them and their families. In my spare time at home I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to read, sports, camping, and vacationing with large groups or just with my fiancé'.
