Welcome to La Petite Academy on Wake Forest Highway! We provide nurturing childcare and early education experiences where children feel supported and encouraged to grow.
Our school offers Infant, Toddler, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before- and After-School Club programs, along with engaging summer camp experiences, in a safe, secure, and healthy learning environment. Our exclusive Learn as We Grow® curriculum uses hands-on, play-based, and inquiry-driven experiences to encourage children to explore, imagine, and ask questions. These age-appropriate learning opportunities help develop confidence, creativity, independence, and foundational skills for kindergarten readiness.
Our center features state-of-the-art classrooms and playgrounds, along with technology that supports interactive learning. Children have access to iPads with creative apps for art, music, and video production, tripods for moviemaking, coding robots, and a new gaming system.
Families can also benefit from an all-inclusive daycare experience, including meals, snacks, diapers, and wipes, as well as on-site enrichment activities. Flexible, part-time care options are also available for families who need additional scheduling flexibility.
More than half of our staff members have eight or more years of teaching experience. All teachers participate in monthly professional development and additional training provided by state agencies. Our team creates a supportive classroom environment, responds to each child's unique needs, and fosters strong relationships with families.

Hello, my name is Tawanna. I have been in childcare for over 20 plus years. I've always had a love for teaching children even as a little girl as I pretended to be the teacher over my stuffed animals and neighborhood friends. As your center Director I’m looking forward to great years to come as we grow together while educating those you have entrusted in my care. I am extremely excited to be a team member of the La Petite Academy Family.

Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space.
