Our classrooms are special places where children take their first steps, learn a new song, make their first friends, and bond with their teachers.  

Each space and material is intentionally chosen to provide a learning environment designed for play and exploration. We create a joyful space where children can discover, imagine, create, communicate, investigate, invent, and reflect.

Communication Center

Communication comes in many forms and children get the chance to explore conversations, storytelling, literature, and different opportunities for mark-making, their early version of writing. Language development and literacy skills develop rapidly in early childhood.

Creation Center

In early childhood, children develop their personality and begin to express what’s inside of them. Art and creativity are a great way to develop a child’s sense of self-expression. They engage with a variety of creative materials and art forms to visually represent their thinking.

Discovery Center

Children can discover math everywhere. Early math isn’t just about counting numbers; it’s about learning how to think, wonder, and reason. When children sort toys by size, spot patterns, or notice shapes, they’re building powerful brain skills that extend far into the future.

Imagination fuels developing brains. When children pretend, they’re not just playing; they’re stretching their thinking, dreaming creative solutions, and practicing important social skills along the way. Every imaginary adventure helps build the tools they need to learn and thrive.

Problem-solving is a key skill developed in early childhood that serves us well into the future. Designing, building, and connecting different items and materials encourages children’s innovation and the discovery of multiple solutions to solve problems.

Reflection Center

Everyone needs a quiet moment to rest from time to time. Here, children can relax, recharge, and think about their day. This quiet time encourages children to gain deeper understanding of their feelings, to comfort themselves, communicate their needs, and develop self-regulation.

Investigation Center (Early Preschool to Pre-K)

This is where curiosity comes to play! This center engages all a child’s senses with interactive materials and experiences. It’s time to experiment, ask big questions, and make discoveries through hands-on exploration.

The Natural Classroom

Of course, learning doesn’t only happen inside. Any outdoor space can also provide additional learning opportunities with appropriate, engaging materials. Nature is one giant classroom!

Infant Learning Centers

Cozy Area: Children have a safe, quiet place to relax, read books, have conversations, and snuggle together.

Personal Care Area: Care routines allow teachers to engage in conversations and relationship-building with children. Children bond with Primary Care Teachers who provide focused attention.

Exploration Area: Children experiment with new ways of doing things to learn about the world around them. Children manipulate and interact with materials to explore how things fit, move, and balance.

Movement Area: Children can explore by stretching, reaching, crawling, and walking, to develop motor skills, balance, and coordination.
