Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Washington, D.C.! My name is Kaylee and I am the Academy Director. My job gives me the opportunity to implement an educational environment, accredited through NAEYC, for the children and also allows me to help staff reach higher levels of education.
Communication is important to us and we stay connected to our families in many ways, including through our brightwheel App and WatchMeGrow cameras. We are excited to introduce our live streaming feature through WatchMeGrow very soon which will allow families to view their child's classroom and activities at any time with secure access. We are committed to having families be engaged and an active part of their child's education and look forward to growing together!
Our top priority is children's health and safety, which we feel is more important now than ever. We have implemented daily health screenings, including temperature checks for all staff and children upon arrival each day, as well as monitoring for any illness during the day. All staff and parents are required to wear masks while they are either in the school or during drop-off and pick-up. We have also implemented a front door drop-off and pick-up policy for all families in order to limit the number of people in the building throughout the day. All of our classrooms are limited to 10 people per room, eight children and two adults. Our staff remain vigilant in hand-washing procedures as well as the cleaning of toys, equipment, and high-touch surfaces throughout the day.
Working together, we can make a difference in our children's lives. I've found that each one of our families brings something rewarding to the table, every day. I invite you to come in for a tour and discover what make La Petite Academy the best choice for early childhood education in Washington, D.C.!
Our first priority is making sure infants both are safe and feel safe, in a nurturing, stimulating classroom. Toys and materials allow for freedom of movement within safe boundaries, so children can explore, develop motor skills, and engage their curiosity.Learn More
