Welcome to Our School
Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Virginia Beach, VA! My name is Michelle and I am the academy director. I have been in the childcare industry, both teaching and directing, for over 15 years now.
We have a wonderful, welcoming and nurturing staff who have remained with us and continue to grow and excel in their careers here at La Petite. Along with this, our curriculum and intentional planning meets the needs of each individual child. Each class is filled to the brim with new learning materials.
Our mobile app lets us send photos and status updates on the activities your child is engaged in, events, alerts and more! Our building is equipped with a coded entry system and attendance is electronically tracked. Our school is licensed by the State and accredited with NECPA; therefore all state and local policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. We provide transportation to Strawbridge, North Landing, Three Oaks, Ocean Lakes, Birdneck, Seatack, and Redmill Elementary Schools. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Education: B.A. in Theology
Certifications: Montessori Certification, CPR/First-Aid, MAT
It is my goal as the director to make our center a "home away from home" for your child. We desire to meet each and every caregiving need for your child. Our school is a step above the rest and we are determined to provide excellent care.

I have always had a passion for children's education and love being a part of a child's growth and development at every age level. I take pride in building a strong sense of community both inside and outside the school, partnering with parents and teachers to ensure lifelong learning.
