Welcome to La Petite Academy! My name is Megan and I am the academy director at our Prospect, KY location. I have been working in child care since 2010, and have been with our school since 2016. I have held many different roles at this school, and I can confidently stand behind our company's high standards of safety, care, and education.
Safety is always our top priority, especially in these uncertain times. We are currently taking extra steps to ensure the health and safety of our children and staff. At this time, visitors are not permitted into our building. We are meeting families at the front door to do temperature and wellness checks upon entry. Also, we are ensuring that teachers wear masks at all times.
Our outstanding Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs are complete with a milestone-based curriculum that is catered to the individual child. Our loving, well-trained teachers care for and teach your children as they progress through our School Readiness Pathway. This, along with our option of flexible scheduling, ensures that you will receive the best care and education for your child!
We are a community of children, parents, and teachers. We strive to maintain a warm and welcoming environment where doors are always open and lines of communication are maintained. You can rest assured that we are always here for you and your family if you have any questions or concerns, or just want to chat!
If you are located in the Prospect area, including Jefferson and Oldham counties, stop by or schedule a tour today. I look forward to meeting you here at La Petite Academy in Prospect, KY!
Starting at the front door, our already robust health and safety procedures have been enhanced to ensure a clean, welcoming school environment. The well-being of your child is our top priority, now, and always.
Our first priority is making sure infants both are safe and feel safe, in a nurturing, stimulating classroom. Toys and materials allow for freedom of movement within safe boundaries, so children can explore, develop motor skills, and engage their curiosity.Learn More

I have been passionate about childhood education since I first started working with children in 2010. I began here at La Petite as the preschool assistant teacher. From there, I worked my way up to become lead teacher, team lead, and now, director. I have lived in Louisville all of my life, graduating from U of L in 2015.
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education
I have been working with children for 18 years, and 12 of those years have been with La Petite. I am originally from Stamping Ground, KY. My husband and I now live in Louisville with our three children. I was the preschool teacher until 2015, when I became assistant director. As a parent and a teacher, I can attest to La Petite's incredible curriculum!
