La Petite Academy of Lorton

Welcome to La Petite Academy, Lorton, VA! We are open now to serve the community; you are welcome to visit our school in person. Our program includes Infants and Toddlers, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before-and After-School care.

My name is Sarah Perreault. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Studies with a focus on Elementary Education. My journey in education began with babysitting at the age of 16 and continued as I embarked on my teaching career. I started teaching during my high school years in the Head Start Program at Gar-field High School, followed by a five-year tenure at KinderCare. During my college years, I temporarily shifted my focus but returned to childcare in 2012 as a Preschool Teacher with Learning Care Group, eventually progressing to the role of Junior Kindergarten teacher, Assistant Director, and, currently, Director at the La Petite Academy of Lorton.

Our school offers an engaging and nurturing environment for every child during their most critical early years. We strive to mold inquisitive young minds with hands on STEM experiences in science, technology, engineering and math. In addition to basic school readiness, we also focus on helping children to be creative, to communicate, to collaborate with others and to be critical thinkers. We also plan on providing a verity of opportunities for families' involvement and we have an open door policy for all. We have a wonderful team of professionals who are excited to work with you and your children. We strive to provide a warm and friendly environment for children, families, and our staff.
