Welcome to La Petite Academy of Covington, WA! At La Petite Academy, curricula are designed to meet each child's developmental needs and help them reach appropriate milestones. Our teachers carefully create their lesson plans based on their daily observations and assessments.

I am a mother of two and have always had a passion for working with children. I started with La Petite in 2000 and have loved moment of it! I enjoy partnering with the teachers in our building and the parents to ensure lifelong learning.

I have worked at La Petite for 8 years, and until my recent position change to Assistant Director, been the Lead Pre-K teacher. Having been in the classroom and through the amazing relationships I have built with families and co-workers, I look forward to working to continuing helping children to learn and grow in my new role!

Meals, snacks, and rest are also built into the day, creating a familiar routine that helps children feel comfortable while keeping each day fun and engaging. Daily activities are designed with your child’s age and developmental stage in mind.

Our teachers regularly observe your child’s development and use those insights to plan learning experiences that support their individual needs and growth. Each child has an individual portfolio that grows with them as they move from one age group to the next, capturing their learning, milestones, and accomplishments along the way. Teachers use developmental checklists, work samples, photos, and observations to understand how your child is progressing and identify opportunities to build new skills.
