La Petite Academy of Covington

Welcome to La Petite Academy of Covington, WA! My name is Nicole and I am the School Director. I have a Child Development Associate credential as well as 18 years of experience in early childhood education. At La Petite Academy, curricula are designed to meet each child's developmental needs and help them reach appropriate milestones. Our teachers carefully create their lesson plans based on their daily observations and assessments. We are also proud to introduce our new School-age curricula- The Prep Lab. The Prep Lab is designed to keep school age children on course with their studies during these uncertain times. Our teachers are trained to support distance learning, as well as to integrate key math & literacy skills practice into our summer program.

We have an outstanding staff dedicated to our children and families. Together, they have more than 200 years of experience. They are continuously educating themselves with monthly training's, state mandated STARS training, and staff development training.

Staying safe & healthy at our school is our top priority! Our current health & safety practices include: Screening staff & children upon arrival for temperature & symptoms. Providing protective face coverings for all staff members to wear when working with children. Having parents remain in common areas only. Conducting regular wellness check throughout the day. And enhancing our already rigorous cleanliness & hygiene practices (more frequent, longer hand washing; cleaning & sanitizing surfaces & items in classrooms).

We're excited to share that this fall, our school will offer WatchMeGrow live video streaming! WatchMeGrow give you secure access to view your child's classroom in real time while your child is in our care- either from a computer or via mobile app.
