La Petite Academy of Columbia

Thank you for visiting La Petite Academy educational daycare in Columbia, MD! My name is LaKeishia Stewart and I am the director of this amazing school. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and over 10 years of experience in the field.

Whether it's providing loving care for infants or participating in activities in our Preschool programs, I love to see the children's sense of accomplishment as they grow and mature into lifelong learners.

Our school is both safe and fun thanks in large part to our qualified teachers here. The capable staff here at La Petite has taken classes in first aid and child development. We are proud to say we are a NECPA Accredited School!

In this challenging and uncertain time, we remain committed to doing everything possible to support our community and to provide families with peace of mind. That starts with providing a safe, secure, and healthy environment for your child when they’re away from home. We are closely following guidance from the CDC, as well as state and local officials and health authorities, as we take extreme care to maintain a safe, healthy school environment. Our current health and safety practices include:

*Screening staff and children upon arrival for temperature, symptoms

*Providing protective face coverings for all staff members to wear when working with children

*Having parents remain in common areas only

*Enhancing our already rigorous cleanliness and hygiene practices (more frequent, longer hand washing; cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and items in classrooms)

We work together to ensure the care provided for children and parents is the same level of care we would want for ourselves and our families. We'll also be featuring WatchMeGrow, live-streaming camera access for our families, and Prep Lab, a program designed to support distance learning for School-Age.
