Welcome to Our School
Thank you for visiting La Petite Academy educational daycare in Columbia, MD! My name is Lanaya Joy, and I am the assistant director of this amazing school. I have a bachelor's degree in health science and over 7 years of experience in the childcare field.
Whether it's providing loving care for Infants or participating in activities in our Preschool programs, I love to see the children's sense of accomplishment as they grow and mature into lifelong learners. Our school is both safe and fun thanks in large part to our qualified teachers here. The capable staff here at La Petite have taken classes in First Aid and child development. We are proud to say we are a NECPA Accredited School!

Education: Bachelor's degree in health science
Certifications: 90hr, Basic health & safety, CPR/first aid, Breastfeeding, ADA etc.
I have been with the company for three years working in all classrooms from infant and toddlers to the school-age program. I started out as a lead infant toddler teacher and then became safety captain and now assistant director.

Certifications: 90hr, 45 infant & toddlers, First Aid/CPR, Medicine administration etc
Ms. Andrea has been with children for over 20 years and has worked with infant & toddlers all the way through school-age. She is also our food specialist. The children and parents adore her and her great cooking skills!
