In this classroom, your child will make discoveries and think independently, as we prepare them for the future. The authentic Montessori curriculum enables children to learn in their own way, at their own pace, through the practical application of sensory-based and self-directed activities. Our certified Montessori teacher spends significant time with each child, helping them discover unique talents and interests. Plus, a full complement of Montessori equipment offers tangible, hands-on learning opportunities to develop children’s skills and senses.
This mixed-aged classroom (for 3- to 6-year-olds) also helps children to develop social skills and challenges them to learn to work together—while being mindful of the best interests of others.

I'm the Director at La Petite Academy in Bloomington. I began my career here in 2014 as a Lead Teacher and became Director in 2021. Throughout my time at La Petite, I have worked with children of all ages. I am passionate about creating meaningful early learning experiences and building strong relationships with families. As both a Director and a parent with a child enrolled at our school, I understand the importance of a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Education: Bachelors in Early Childhood Education with an Endorsement in ESL and a Minor in Spanish
Certifications: CPR, First Aid and AED Certified, Registered Behavior Technician Certificate, ECE Credential, Infant/Toddler Credential and Food Manager Certification
I am the Assistant Director at La Petite Academy in Bloomington. I began my journey in early childhood education and have since worked with children of all ages, from infants through high school. I earned my degree from Illinois State University and completed my student teaching experiences throughout the community. When I'm not at school, you can usually find me relaxing with my puppy and a good book. I look forward to supporting our children, families, and teachers every day!

Education: Associates Degree in Elementary Education
Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED certified and Food Handler Certification
I am the Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom and serve as a Team Lead. I hold an Associate Degree in Elementary Education and am certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, and food handling. I have been part of the La Petite Academy family for more than 27 years and am passionate about helping children learn and grow. I am married with three children, all of whom attended La Petite during their early childhood years. In my free time, I enjoy reading, taking walks, and spending time with my family.
