Welcome to Our School
Welcome to La Petite Academy in The Colony, TX! Our daycare and preschool provides a welcoming, hands-on learning environment where children can grow, explore, and build important skills at every stage.
We offer early education and child care programs for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, including Infant Care, Toddler Care, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After School Care, and Summer Camp. Our teachers provide age-appropriate learning experiences designed to support each child’s social, emotional, and academic development.
Our experienced staff is CPR and First Aid certified, participates in ongoing monthly training, and brings more than 80 years of combined child care experience to our school. We also provide transportation to and from select local elementary schools, including Morningside, B.B. Owen, Stewart’s Creek, Ethridge, Peters Colony, and Camey.

Safety and comfort come first in our Infants Program, where Primary Caregivers offer your little one personalized attention. Learn from the Start™, our exclusive milestone-based curriculum, guides every experience, from sensory play to early language and motor skill building. The classroom is designed with everything teachers need at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space. With a maximum teacher-child ratio of 1:4, your baby always feels the love and attention they need. Diapers and wipes are also included, giving families one less thing to worry about each day.
