Welcome to La Petite Academy daycare and preschool in Salt Lake City, UT. We are conveniently located in the Cottonwood Heights area.

We offer loving, nurturing care, and exciting educational programs from Infants to School-Age children. Transportation is provided to Butler, Ridgecrest, and Oakwood Elementary schools.

We are extremely proud of our Salt Lake City teaching staff. We are all CPR/First Aid certified, complete background checks, and receive ongoing mandatory training throughout the year.

We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.

We closely follow recommendations from state and local authorities, to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment.

Tiffany Glenn, Director

Education: Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Education

I have 25 years of experience in early childhood education, most of which has been spent in the classroom as a teacher. I love helping children learn new things and believe social-emotional learning is an essential foundation for lifelong success. I’m excited to use my decades of experience to help make this school the best it can be.

Each day at La Petite Academy is filled with opportunities for your child to learn, play, explore, and grow. Children explore learning centers, participate in small- and large-group activities, spend time outdoors, and enjoy plenty of opportunities for choice and play. Meals, snacks, and rest are also built into the day, creating a familiar routine that helps children feel comfortable while keeping each day fun and engaging. Daily activities are designed with your child’s age and developmental stage in mind.

Our teachers regularly observe your child’s development and use those insights to plan learning experiences that support their individual needs and growth. Each child has an individual portfolio that grows with them as they move from one age group to the next, capturing their learning, milestones, and accomplishments along the way. Teachers use developmental checklists, work samples, photos, and observations to understand how your child is progressing and identify opportunities to build new skills. Families stay connected every step of the way through SproutAbout updates, family-teacher conferences, and daily conversations with their child’s teachers.

Moving to a new classroom is an exciting milestone. Children gradually visit their new classroom, meet their teachers, and become familiar with new routines before the transition. Teachers work together to support continuity, while families receive regular updates throughout the process.
