Welcome to Our School
Welcome to La Petite Academy, a nationally accredited educational daycare located in Hockessin, DE.
We provide a warm, nurturing, and academically enriching environment for children from six weeks of age through our Pre-Kindergarten program. In addition, we offer Before- and After-School Care for North Star Elementary students, as well as an engaging, fun-filled Summer Camp program.
Our dedicated, long-tenured educators are passionate about creating positive, individualized learning experiences for every child. Teachers participate in ongoing professional development throughout the year to remain current in early childhood education and to deliver meaningful, engaging classroom experiences.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our school features a secure locked-entry system and security cameras throughout the building and exterior. Families enjoy exclusive access to live classroom video in their child’s room. Entry is limited to staff and enrolled families using unique security codes, and all visitors must be approved by administration and present proper identification.
We believe staying connected is essential. Through our SproutAbout™ mobile app, families receive real-time updates, photos, messages, and access to live streaming video of their child’s classroom throughout the day.

I am proud to have been part of Learning Care Group for over 19 years, and La Petite Academy truly feels like home. As both a staff member and a parent, I’ve seen firsthand how safe, loved, and well cared for every child is — my two daughters are graduates, and my son currently attends our Pre-K program.
