Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy, educational early childhood extended daycare in Evansville, IN. Our school serves the St. Vincent Hospital employees only and offers Infant Care, Preschool and other early education programs. We create a safe, warm and welcoming environment with an open-door policy at all times for families.

All of our staff members are CPR and First Aid certified, receive ongoing monthly training throughout the year and have over 100 years of combined child care experience!

Jenia Short, Director

Education: Associates in Early Child Development

Certifications: First Aid and CPR

I have been with Learning Care Group for 16 years starting as a Preschool Assistant and worked my way up to Director throughout the years. I have been in the profession of Early childhood education for nearly 20 years. My husband, Elliott, and I have been married for 16 years and we have a son. When I am not working, I enjoy being with my family, crocheting, sudoku, puzzles and watching movies. I enjoy getting to know the families we serve here at La Petite and am here to help in any way I can.

Hello! My name is Carman Norrick and I am the Assistant Director here, at La Petite Academy. I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for 15 years. I have been an Early Preschool assistant, Lead Teacher in Preschool, and Master Teacher in Preschool. I have been married for 15 years to my husband, Josh, and we have two children together. I enjoy going to trivia, watching movies, attending Evansville Thunderbolts games. I love the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts!
