Welcome to La Petite Academy in Collierville, TN!

We understand that choosing the right child care provider is an important decision for your family. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where your child feels welcomed, supported, and excited to learn each day.

Our educational daycare serves children from 6 weeks to 12 years old with age-appropriate programs designed to support learning and development at every stage. Through engaging experiences, children have opportunities to explore their interests, build confidence, develop new skills, and create a strong foundation for future learning.

We’re especially proud of our experienced and dedicated team. Some of our staff members have been part of our school community for up to 24 years, bringing valuable knowledge and a passion for early childhood education to our classrooms. Our team is also First Aid and CPR certified.

Creating a safe and secure environment is a top priority. Our school features coded building access, surveillance cameras throughout the facility, and restricted access during operating hours for families and staff. These measures help us maintain a welcoming environment where children can comfortably learn, play, and grow.

Our School-Age program provides children with opportunities to explore technology, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Children can engage with iPads featuring apps for art, music, and video creation, use tripods and other tools for moviemaking projects, and explore coding robots and STEM activities. These hands-on experiences encourage children to create, problem-solve, and discover new interests.

We also make it easy to stay connected to your child’s day with SproutAbout, our exclusive family communication app. Families can access live streaming classroom video, receive real-time updates, and stay informed about their child’s activities and milestones throughout the day.

With more than 23 years of experience in early childhood education, I’m passionate about creating an engaging learning environment where children can learn and grow through play. I believe a well-rounded curriculum helps children build important skills at every stage of development. Watching children discover new abilities and gain confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I’m committed to supporting each child’s unique journey and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Each day at La Petite Academy is filled with opportunities for your child to learn, play, explore, and grow. Children explore learning centers, participate in small- and large-group activities, spend time outdoors, and enjoy plenty of opportunities for choice and play. Meals, snacks, and rest are also built into the day, creating a familiar routine that helps children feel comfortable while keeping each day fun and engaging. Daily activities are designed with your child’s age and developmental stage in mind.

Our teachers regularly observe your child’s development and use those insights to plan learning experiences that support their individual needs and growth. Each child has an individual portfolio that grows with them as they move from one age group to the next, capturing their learning, milestones, and accomplishments along the way. Teachers use developmental checklists, work samples, photos, and observations to understand how your child is progressing and identify opportunities to build new skills. Families stay connected every step of the way through SproutAbout updates, family-teacher conferences, and daily conversations with their child’s teachers.

Moving to a new classroom is an exciting milestone. Children gradually visit their new classroom, meet their teachers, and become familiar with new routines before the transition. Teachers work together to support continuity, while families receive regular updates throughout the process.
