Our infant environment is designed to keep your baby safe, soothed, and supported. The Infant Program provides a loving balance of personalized care and engaging experiences that encourage them to observe the world with natural wonder and curiosity. Primary Caregivers for each child nurture the development of essential foundational skills.

Cozy Area

Inviting and calm, the Cozy Area is a place where infants can relax and bond with teachers through snuggling, reading books together, sharing giggles, and feeling loved. Storytime is an essential part of our day to promote early literacy and a love of learning.

Exploration Area

Push and pull, squish and stack. Even our youngest students get to experiment and try new things. The hands-on Exploration Area invites infants to play with sensory-friendly materials and make discoveries as they work to understand cause and effect.

Movement Area

It won’t be long before infants begin to grasp toys, roll over, or crawl to a new spot with adorable determination. The Movement Area encourages children to safely explore and use their bodies to develop important fine and gross motor skills, balance, and coordination.

Approaches to Learning

The ability to solve problems, explore the world around them, become more independent.

Cognitive Development

The ability to think critically and creatively and understand their world.

Language Development

The ability to communicate effectively using sounds, expressions, body language, and finally, oral and written language; ability to understand and respond to the communication of others.

Physical Development

The ability to coordinate and control large and small muscle movements; increasing awareness of health and safety concepts.

Social-Emotional Development

The ability to interact with others and their increasing awareness of themselves and their emotions; understanding of their relationships with others, such as family, friends, community members.

Infant Program FAQs

At most of our schools, infants can be enrolled in child care at 6 weeks (our infant classroom typically goes up to 1 year).

Most schools offer an all-inclusive diapering program to ensure children have all they need throughout the school day without requiring families to send in those supplies. If you prefer to use alternative diapers with a cloth or disposable insert, please see a member of management for possible options. Please bring enough prepared and labeled formula or breast milk for each day your child is with us. Infants will be fed in accordance with parent/guardian instructions.

Our Primary Caregivers connect with children on a deeper, personalized level to establish trust, comfort, and a consistent routine. This ensures that infants feel safe, secure, comfortable, and happy. All infant classrooms have an age-appropriate exploration area where problem-solving skills and fine motor skills are developed. We also provide a movement area to strengthen physical coordination and a cozy area where we develop and nurture a love of books.

Our “Active Infants, Safe Spaces” approach means everything teachers need to support infants is at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Toys and materials enable freedom of movement within safe boundaries, so children can explore, develop motor skills, and engage their senses for optimal physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
