Welcome to La Petite Academy daycare and preschool in Henderson, NV!

Melissa Troutmon, Director
Education: AA-ECE Directors Emphasis
Certifications: CPR, Signs of Illness, Child Abuse & Neglect, SIDS, Child Wellness, ECE Child Development and all other required trainings.
I am a mom of three! I was a Director for Kids 'R' Kids for 13 years. I started my journey in ECE when I was 18. I fell in love with the creative and curious love of learning and decided to go to school for it. I have worked in all aspects of the education field and have even worked with children with special needs where I learned ABA therapy. I absolutely love seeing the children learn and explore their environment!

Feleicia Walker, Associate Director
Education: Degree in Behavioral Health with Emphasis on Family Dynamics
Certifications: CPR, Signs of Illness, Child Abuse & Neglect, SIDS, Child Wellness, ECE Child Development and all other required trainings.
My name is Feleicia Walker and I have been working with children of all ages for 23 years. I started my Early childhood education journey as a teacher in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 18. I moved to Las Vegas NV in 2008 where I met my husband and continued my career in ECE. I have worked all across the Las Vegas valley, changing lives one child at a time! Working with children is more than just a job, it is my passion and I have dedicated my life to helping children become lifelong learners.

Esperanza Gonzales, Team Lead
Education: Infant/Toddler CDA
Certifications: CPR, Signs of Illness, Child Abuse & Neglect, SIDS, Child Wellness, ECE Child Development and all other required trainings.
I have been with La Petite since 2016. I have been a toddlers teacher and have been a cook. I am now Safety Captain/Team Lead. I am a mom of two, they keep me busy! I have so much fun getting to know all of our families and kids. Each child's personality grows and develops and is such an experience to get to see that happen while they are with us.
