Our Learn as We Grow curriculum follows six core concepts throughout the year. Children explore these same concepts from Toddlers through Pre-K, but how they experience them changes as they grow. Welcome to Our School

Our Ocoee, Florida, daycare and preschool, La Petite Academy of Ocoee, has been caring for families since August 1991. We are next to Plantation Grove West and near Ocoee Fire Department Station 3 and Publix. NECPA recognizes the care we give with its accreditation. Our teaching team holds CPR and First Aid certifications and a Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) endorsement.

Families begin with Infants, Toddlers, and Twos and keep going through Early Preschool, Preschool, and Pre-K, plus Before and After School Care, for ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Our school proudly offers FL Voluntary Pre-K (VPK), a state-funded program, and our team can explain it on your tour. Learn from the Start® builds infant learning through loving relationships, and Learn as We Grow® for Toddlers through Pre-K explores Change and other big ideas, like Pre-K children creating and racing wind-powered machines.

Enrichment options include Spotlight on Kindergarten, which sets children up for kindergarten and beyond, and Soccer, which lets children run, kick, and cheer on teammates. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Marcotulio Ortiz, everyone calls me Mr.O. I have worked in the Field of education since 2018 and have been with La Petite since 2020. I transferred from Miami to Ocoee as a VPK teacher in 2022. As a former teacher, my loyalty and dedication is to the children in our care and their education. It is always an honor to serve the children of our community and continue the good work in education.

Learn from the Start™, our exclusive milestone-based curriculum, guides every experience, from sensory play to early language and motor skill building. The classroom is designed with everything teachers need at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space.
