Monona, WI DaycareI’m happy to welcome you to our wonderful daycare center in Monona, WI! My name is Kaiti and I am the Academy Director of this wonderful school. We are deeply rooted in our community and have a long-standing reputation of involvement with our families. In fact, we have been named the Best Childcare in Madison for 2010 and 2011.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a background in administration. I am completely committed to this school and the families involved in our programs. My door is always open to parents, and I take pride in the learning and growing that happens at our school every day.

We have the best teachers and programs around. The developmental milestones your child reaches in our care will become the building blocks for the rest of his or her life. Most of the teachers on our staff are lead-teacher certified and attend training sessions for continuing education each year. Every one of them is completely dedicated to assist in your child’s education.

Safety and security is a high priority on our Monona campus. We are equipped with a locked-door security system that requires a correct code on a keypad. Only those who are authorized for pick-up are able to enter the building, and identification is always checked by a trained staff member.

Since we opened in 1999, we have continued to provide the most excellent care for young children in our area. I invite you to call us and set up a tour to see firsthand why our fantastic daycare facility in Monona, WI, is so special!

Why Us

Child in the classroomWithout a doubt, our fun and friendly atmosphere makes it exciting for children to start their day with us. That’s why we’re proud to have recently been voted the Best of Monona for the second year in a row!

Our devoted staff consistently go above and beyond to create a quality place for learning that is both safe and stimulating. It is important to us to involve the entire family in the learning process and invite parents and siblings to participate in many activities throughout the year. We feel it is a privilege to contribute to your child’s growth and development, and we enjoy playing a role in preparing him or her for future educational experiences.

We also will be hosting the T4K program for Monona Grove School District this upcoming fall.

Our Programs

Child in the classroomLa Petite Academy’s curriculum is industry leading. Developed by our team of education experts, our curriculum is based on age-appropriate learning objectives. Teachers in all of our classrooms have hundreds of activities to choose from, each of which is tied to a specific learning objective. At our school, children will not only make the developmental progress necessary for success in school, they’ll love the activities that help prepare them!

Infant Program (6+ Weeks):

Our infant teachers are enthusiastic about providing your child with a nurturing atmosphere in which they can explore and learn. Activities for babies are based on play and allow children to grow and develop at their own pace. A 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio allows for plenty of personal attention. The classroom is also divided so that crawlers and walkers are in a different area from smaller babies. We offer part-time enrollment for our infant room.

Toddler Program (12+ Months):

Your toddler will learn a great deal through the activities created to stimulate cognitive, emotional and physical growth in this room. Our teachers are specially trained to offer guidance through the various stages of development, and a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio allows for a lot of one-on-one time. This classroom is divided into two areas so toddlers who are just beginning to walk can do so safely. A part-time program is available for toddlers.

Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Program (4-5 Years):

Our staff understands the importance of preparing your child for kindergarten and future school experiences, so we offer a curriculum that reflects a variety of educational and fun activities. Some of these include beginning writing skills, phonics for reading and science. We also ensure that they are challenged with critical-thinking problems and building language expression skills. A part-time preschool program is available.

School-Age Program (5-12 Years):

Throughout the school year, our teachers focus on offering homework support for school-age children. Students also will find a host of challenging yet fun activities that reflect school curriculum, and will enjoy spending time with their peers after school. During the summer, we plan a weekly field trip and an in-house extra project. We transport to the following area schools:

  • Glendale
  • Frank Allis
  • Maywood and Immaculate Heart will bus to us

Testimonials

The teachers plan fun activities to make us feel included in what my son does during the day, like having us submit pictures of our family for collages that he can look at while he is there! I love how I can drop him off and if he is sad, they will hug him – just like I want him to be hugged!
