Welcome to Our School
Dear Pleasanton & Tri-Valley families,
We would like to personally thank you for exploring La Petite Academy of Pleasanton! Since 1995 our center has been tucked safely in the back of the Hopyard Village shopping center (at the corner of Valley Avenue and Hopyard Road). Collectively our staff have over 100 years of teaching experience!
Your child can begin their education journey with us as young as 6 weeks old. As they grow, they continue through our guided Learning Path as Toddlers, 2's, Early-Pre's, Preschoolers, and PreK-ers. At School-Age we offer a bus option for after school pickup.
We are a fully comprehensive program with tuition that includes meals, diapers & supplies, and access to our extensive communication app, SproutAbout. Through SproutAbout, you can view a live feed of your child's classroom, receive diaper/potty and meal notifications, and even receive updates on development.
We offer full and part-time schedule options:
Mon-Fri or Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thur
For up to 10 hours between 7am-5:30pm (with a pick-up grace period) or
Part-time for 5 hours or less between 7am-12pm
Drop-in care when our numbers allow

Kristina Spink, Director
Education: BA in Human Development, Early Childhood concentration. AA in Early Childhood Education
Certifications: Director Permit from California Commission on Teacher Credentialling
I began my career as a Teacher's Aide over 20 years ago. I went on to complete multiple degrees in ECE, supporting myself through college while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. I have since taught in all manner of educational settings, with children of every age group. I spent 7 years leading a licensed preschool program which was within a larger K-8th grade parochial school before taking on the Center Director role at La Petite Academy of Pleasanton in 2025.

Christina Zarate, Assistant Director
Education: BA in Human Development, Adolescent Development concentration. MA in progress
With an Adolescent Development BA I have held a variety of roles in child-focused environments over the last decade. Beginning with the intimate work of nannying sets of twins, transitioning to Lead Teacher roles at licensed childcare centers, and then working as office administrator. These positions allowed me to develop both classroom and management skills. I have served as Assistant Director at La Petite Academy of Pleasanton since 2023 and I am now also pursuing a Master’s degree
