Welcome to Our School

Welcome to our La Petite Academy educational daycare in Tampa, FL! My name is Amanda and I am the center director. I have been with La Petite for several years as both a teacher and manager. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a Level I Florida Director's Credential.

This school here in Tampa has been open since 1988. We currently have six former students who now bring their own children here! In addition to providing superior Infant care, our Preschool options offer the best early education in the community.

Our school is nationally accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation. This accreditation also awards us a Gold Seal title with our county's Department of Childcare Licensing. We have an outstanding staff with a combined 150 years of experience in early childhood education. They all receive monthly training as well as ongoing training by the state.

Give Your Child a Great Start With VPK

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free daily, 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care. I began my career with La Petite Academy as a Lead VPK Teacher in 2011. Teaching children has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy challenging their ever shaping minds. I strive to make our center feel like a second home, not only to our children but their families as well.

I have been with La Petite Academy for 27 years. I enjoy working with children because I love to be loved and give love in return. I also like to make a difference in a child's life. It is rewarding to see them grow not only intellectually but emotionally as well.
