Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy, an educational daycare in Olive Branch, MS! My name is DaShanetha and I am the academy director. I have over 10 years of experience working with children ages six weeks to 12 years of age. I majored in early childhood education and I have my associate's degree in science. I am currently working towards obtaining my bachelor's degree in professional studies with a concentration on leadership.

Education: Associate's Degree in Science; Professional Studies with Concentration on Leadership (Degree in Progress)

Certifications: TECTA Administrators Certification/CPR and First Aid

I've always had a passion for working with children. As the center director, I love getting to know the children, their families and watching them learn as they grow. In my role, I take pride in ensuring a lifelong learning experience for our scholars. We have a great team here at La Petite Olive Branch and I look forward to seeing you here!

Allyson Young, Assistant Director

Education: Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts; RN, and BSN

I have been in the early child care field for 17+ years. As the assistant director, I work closely with the teachers in the classroom, working on a curriculum that educates with STEM approach. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are part of everything we do in the classroom. Being able to challenge the young minds daily with the curriculum is such a joy. I love it here at La Petite Academy, Olive Branch, and look forward to building the young minds we see daily.

I really enjoy working with children. I have 10 years of experience working in childcare. I have been at La Petite since July 2022, I assist the teachers throughout the day with their daily duties, and help keep our school safe. I love spending time with the children and watching them grow.
