Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy, a 5-star educational childcare in Morrisville, NC, located in Greenwood Village. My name is Kathleen Barber-Brown. I am the school director and I have more than 10 years of experience in the early childhood education field.

We are open from 7:00AM - 6:00PM and service children ages 6weeks to 5 years. During the summer we offer a School Age Program from June-August. Our educational and developmentally appropriate programs include Infant and Toddler Care, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten. We provide a warm, intimate, secure place for children to learn and explore at their own pace, in classrooms specifically designed for their age group. Our STEM curriculum, integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, with STEM-inspired materials and experiences. To enhance our curriculum, we also offer Growfit Yoga, Spolight on Spanish and Soccer Shots at a small additional fee.

Im in love with la petit. Amazing teachers and staff! My daughter had a hard time adjusting but her teachers and all the staff helped her adjust and now she tell us bye as soon as we enter her class! The staff is kind, care about the child and his family. The director is always open for communication. We love it.

Education: B.S Birth - Kindergarten Teaching w/Minor Sociology

Certifications: Level III Admin, CPR & First Aid, SIDS, BSAC, Playground Safety

I love working with children and fell in love with early childhood in high school so much that I decided to make a career and receive my Associates and Bachelors degree in Birth-Kindergarten. I have been in the field for a little over 10 years and I am committed to providing your family with child care excellence and ensuring your child's developmental needs are met!

Education: B.S. Family and Consumer Science w/Concentration in Child Development and Family Relations

I have over nine years of experience in education field and I enjoy spending time with family and friends and in my spare time enjoying doing arts and crafts. I enjoy building partnerships with families, seeing the passion of our teachers in action in the classroom and watching the academic growth in our students through their journey!
