Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Cutler Bay, FL in the Lakes by the Bay Community! I'm Roxana, the center director. I have been working for La Petite for 12 years and have more than 28 years of experience as a director.

Our school provides first-rate Infant Care, Preschool, VPK and other early childhood education options. Our school is nationally accredited through NECPA and is a proud participant in Florida's Gold Seal Quality Care program.

We are excited to offer new technology in our School-Age classroom. These enhancements include iPads featuring apps to create art, music and videos, tripods for moviemaking, robots for coding, a new gaming system and a secure WiFi network for homework.

Our school offers a safe and clean learning environment with highly skilled and DCF-trained staff members who provide a caring, nurturing atmosphere for your child. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment and maintain an open-door policy. We plan a lot of events for everyone to participate in and we work hard to ensure that families meet each other and develop strong relationships.

Give Your Child a Great Start With VPK

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free daily, 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care. This full-day learning experience enhances your child’s school readiness journey. Every child who turns 4 by September 1 may be eligible for free VPK. Schedule a tour to learn more.

I have been working in the early childhood field for over 28 years. I was a Pre-K teacher for six years before I became a director. I not only take pride in my school, but in the family we are building here. Working with children is a passion of mine.

Children have such big and bright imaginations, so I have no choice but to feed off their positive energy. That's why I have been working with children for more than 18 years and can't imagine myself doing anything else. I take so much pride in my school and the amazing work we do here.
