Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy educational daycare in Buenaventura, Kissimmee, FL. My name is Shawn and I am the director. I have my child development certificate and have been working for the company for over 30 years.

We have an outstanding staff with over 65 years of combined experience. All of my staff members are CPR and First Aid certified and receive ongoing training provided by our coalition in Osceola County.

At La Petite, our Infant Care, Preschool and other Early Education programs provide the perfect foundation for learning and development. We also proudly offer the Cuties Care all-inclusive diapering product supply program for our Infants and young Toddlers while at school. Our diapers and wipes are hypoallergenic, dye-free and chlorine free. We pride in providing a nutritious and balance diet to our students. All of our programs include breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. We provide before-and after-care to the following schools: Cypress, Boggy Creek and Ventura Elementary.

Give Your Child a Great Start With VPK

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free daily, 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care. This full-day learning experience enhances your child’s school readiness journey. Every child who turns 4 by September 1 may be eligible for free VPK. Schedule a tour to learn more.

I've been with the company for over 30 years. My three children have grown in the La Petite Academy family and I simply love this school. I take great pride in knowing that our center is one that strives for excellence and quality in child care.

Yamirelis Morales, Assistant Director

Education: Master Management and Leadership in Education and Bachellor in K-3 Education.

Certifications: Director's Credential, 45 DCF hours, CPR and First Aid.

I have seven years of experience in childhood education. I was a preschool teacher, elementary teacher, and now assuming a new role as an assistant director. It's been a great experience working with a team that is passionate about childcare and makes learning fun and creative. My daughter is with me here and she loves the teachers and has learned a lot in just few months.
