Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy educational child care center in Jacksonville, FL. My name is Ashley Evans and I am the academy director. I have 20 years of experience in the field and have my certification in child development.

Our Infant, Preschool, and other age-specific programs provide the perfect foundation for learning and development. The school's staff knows the importance of building relationships as they take the time to get to know each family. Our teachers receive monthly training as well as ongoing training provided by the state.

Our school is accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation. The standards that we follow are higher than the State of Florida's Child Care Licensing Standards. We create a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for all families and staff.

I love everything about this school. Since switching from a different daycare, my daughter has made a dramatic improvement. I love how structured the day is. Give Your Child a Great Start With VPK

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free daily, 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care. This full-day learning experience enhances your child’s school readiness journey. Every child who turns 4 by September 1 may be eligible for free VPK. Schedule a tour to learn more.

Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I worked in my first preschool while in high school and never left the field. I began working at La Petite Academy in 2014 as a lead teacher in the early preschool classroom. I have worked my way up in the company to become the director. I love my job and all the families I am able to meet! Creating a safe, fun place for children to learn is the best part of what we do here!

I began working at La Petite Academy in 2007. I started my career in the two year old classroom where I worked as a lead teacher. I am now the assistant director. I have obtained my national Child Development Associates as well as my Director's Credential. I love watching the children in our program grow!
