Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy, an educational preschool and daycare in Folsom, CA. My name is Chris and I am the academy director. I have more than 30 years of experience and a certificate in early childhood education. I started working here as a teacher in 1993.

Our school offers Infant and Toddler Care, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and School-Age programs. We've been open since 1987. I strive to create a welcoming environment and maintain an open-door policy.

We have an outstanding staff that is dedicated to our children and families. They have over 100 years of combined experience. More than half of our staff has been with us for at least five years and one staff member has been here since 1987! All of our staff is CPR certified and has had First Aid training.

I have worked for La Petite Academy for more than 30 years and still enjoy every moment of it! I enjoy interacting with all of the children as they put a smile on my face every day! I am married and have three children and six beautiful grandchildren. I love to travel. I am a huge SF Giants and 49er fan!

Education: Degree in Early Childhood Education

I have worked for the company for five years, but started my journey at a sister school as a lead pre-k teacher. I share three beautiful teenagers with my husband, and a loving 10 year old yorkie. I love this field because it is such a joy to impact young lives socially and academically. I love reading, writing and cooking. Some of my favorite sports teams are the Cowboys and University of Miami.

I have worked for La Petite since 1997. I started as an infant teacher and became a Director at the El Dorado Hills La Petite. Early childhood is the most rapid period of development in a person and that fascinates me. My daughter was born and raised in La Petite and now my Granddaughter is in the infant program. I look forward to welcoming you and your family!
