Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy in Edmond, OK. My name is Desirae and I am the academy director. I have been working with children and families for almost seven years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, but I have always had a passion for working with children.

Here at La Petite, we provide children with a safe, nurturing and educational environment in our Infant Care, Preschool and other age-specific programs. Our school has been a part of the Edmond community for over 20 years. We hold a three-star status, which is the highest possible.

It is the dedication of our teachers and their years of combined experience that make the children's time here fun-filled and memorable. Teachers and families work together to create an amazing place for children. We hold various events throughout the year to bring everyone together.

We are excited to offer new technology in our School-Age classroom. These enhancements include iPads featuring apps to create art, music and videos, tripods for moviemaking, robots for coding, a new gaming system and more!

We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.

We closely follow recommendations from state and local authorities, to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment.

Desirae Meadows, Director

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology

Certifications: Oklahoma Director's Credential

Desirae Meadows is a mother to two wonderful children and is currently the director at La Petite Academy in Edmond, OK. She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been in child care for more than six years. Her goal, while working as a professional in child care, is to provide honest, sincere and quality services to the families of La Petite. Her future goals include pursuing a higher degree in education and raising a family.
