Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy daycare and preschool in Concord, CA! Our school serves children as young as six weeks all the way through Pre-K. We also provide Before- and After-School care for Kindergarten through 5th grade including full-day camps during school breaks and summer.

All curriculum for our programs are STEM and assessment based which helps the teachers to create activities to fit the culture of the classrooms and all the children's individual developmental needs.

Karna Bennewitz, Director

Education: A.S. degree in Early Childhood Education, B.A. degree in Consumer and Family Studies. Certificated specializations in Infant/Toddler Development.

Certifications: Infant/Adult CPR; Preventative Health and Safety Practices, Training and Nutrition, Program Administration.

Early care and education is my passion and supporting families is my joy. The first five years of a child's life creates the foundation to a life-long love of learning. I believe the key to changing the world tomorrow is to invest in our children today. I have dedicated my life to this. I have been with LCG since 2018, holding various management positions within the organization. I have been in the field of early childhood education for over 30 years and look forward to many more!
