Welcome to La Petite Academy located in Bloomington, IL! La Petite Academy offers excellent Infant Care and Private Preschool in the area. Our facility is NAEYC-accredited.

All of our staff members are CPR/First Aid/AED trained and we have an AED located in our hallway in case of an emergency.

Discover Our Montessori Classroom

In this classroom, your child will make discoveries and think independently, as we prepare them for the future. The authentic Montessori curriculum enables children to learn in their own way, at their own pace, through the practical application of sensory-based and self-directed activities. Our certified Montessori teacher spends significant time with each child, helping them discover unique talents and interests. Plus, a full complement of Montessori equipment offers tangible, hands-on learning opportunities to develop children’s skills and senses.

This mixed-aged classroom (for 3- to 6-year-olds) also helps children to develop social skills and challenges them to learn to work together—while being mindful of the best interests of others.

Hi! I'm the director here at the La Petite in Bloomington! I began my career here in 2014 as a lead teacher and became director in 2021. I've always had a passion for working with children. During my time at La Petite, I have worked with all age groups, from Infants to School-Age. I love working closely with the children and families to create a meaningful early learning experience! My child is also enrolled here and loves to learn and grow with her friends and teachers!

I have been in childcare for over four years now, and it is my passion! It is incredibly important to me to make your child feel safe, secure, and welcomed. I'm excited to work with families of different backgrounds and cultures, and make flourishing partnerships with them.

I have been with LPA for just over five years and I love caring for the children in our community. Beginning as a Lead Teacher in 2018, I have truly enjoyed being a big part in so many children's growth and development, and seeing all of the new things that they learn as they grow. I have recently transitioned to management and I work hard to create lasting relationships with families and creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children as well as for the parents.

I have been with La Petite for three months now and I love caring for children. I began caring for children in high school for the BACC Program, and have also worked at three other early childhood centers. Early childhood education has always been my passion. I love working with children!
