Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy in Blacklick, OH. My name is Julie and I have been the Director here for the past 28 years.

We are a 3-star rated center in Ohio's Step Up to Quality Program. Many of our teachers have been here over 10 years and are dedicated to helping our students develop a lifelong love of learning. We conduct in-service training for staff monthly to ensure we are always up to date on child development innovations.

Our center offers care for children from six weeks through Elementary School-Age. In our Infant, Toddler, and Twos rooms the curriculum is assessment-based with a focus on language development & communication. Our Early Preschool, Preschool, and Pre-K programs also offer an assessment-based curriculum that encompass a variety of developmental areas, with the Pre-K class focusing on preparing children for Kindergarten. For School-Age children, we provide before & after care during the school year and have a full-time program for summer.

We’re committed to providing simple ways to keep you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. With live streaming video, you can view your child’s classroom from any device or computer. Plus, get real-time updates with our family communication app.

We closely follow recommendations from state and local authorities, to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment.

I've worked in early childhood education for 29 years and and truly believe this is where I was meant to be. I've developed a strong staff dedicated to the children in their care. I love meeting new people and strive to always be available to parents in case they have questions or just want to chat.

For over 26 years I've worked in the education field and I believe the first years in early education set a foundation for learning. Whether it's supporting the teachers or working with the children along with their families, every interaction is important and has meaning.
