Welcome to Our School

Welcome to our La Petite Academy in Albuquerque, NM. My name is Theresa and I am the Academy Director of this 5-Star, NAEYC-Accredited Academy which offers care for Infants, Toddlers, Two's, Preschool and School-Age programs and the NM Pre-K program. I have more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education and hold an associate's degree in office administration.

I am confident that we offer the best programs in the area because of our wonderful staff with tenures of over 20 years! My teachers stay current on the latest in early childhood development and health and safety by attending monthly training sessions and holding current First Aid and CPR cards.

In addition to our high standards of education and care, we provide a secure building with a front door featuring a keypad entry system, a manager is always onsite, and we check photo ID's of persons picking children up. We also offer diapers and wipes for children included in tuition.

I have a passion for working with children and have been working in this field for over 20 years. I take pride in partnering with our families and teachers to ensure lifelong learning. I love spending time with my family and I also love spending time outdoors.

I have been in this field since 2004. I enjoy working with children since I was young, being able to care for and teach children has always been one of my goals. I believe this job is very rewarding and getting to watch children grow is the best part. Also, having parents trust and allow us to care for their children is a great feeling.
